Craftsman Automation Announces Greenfield Plant Establishment in Bhiwadi

Craftsman Automation, a renowned engineering and manufacturing firm headquartered in Coimbatore, has announced its plans to establish a state-of-the-art greenfield plant in the RIICO Industrial Area Salarpur, situated in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

The company has allocated an investment of ₹150 crore for the initial phase, focusing on the production of aluminum products. Subsequently, in Phase 2, it intends to diversify production to encompass products from its three verticals: automotive, powertrain & others; automotive-aluminum products; and industrial and engineering.

Craftsman Automation's decision to expand its operations to Bhiwadi is strategically driven by the burgeoning business opportunities in North India, propelled by the Government's 'Make in India' initiative. According to S Ravi, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company, the Bhiwadi facility, in conjunction with the existing unit in Faridabad, will enhance customer service capabilities, fortify market presence in North India, and serve as a pivotal driver of business growth in the foreseeable future.

Expressing support for Craftsman Automation's venture, Ajitabh Sharma, the Principal Secretary to the Rajasthan Government's Department of Industries, assured the company of Rajasthan's commitment to fostering an investor-friendly environment. The state pledges to provide assistance through investment promotion schemes, financial aid, incentive schemes, and other eligible benefits to facilitate Craftsman's expansion in Rajasthan.

Gautham Ram, Director of Craftsman Automation, echoed the company's enthusiasm for embarking on this new chapter of growth in Rajasthan. He affirmed their dedication to expedite the operationalization of the new plant within the stipulated timeframe of 12 months, emphasizing their alignment with Rajasthan's "Grow with Rajasthan" initiative.
