CUSAT, CSL Partner to Create Center of Excellence for Sustainable Shipbuilding.

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Shipbuilding Technology.

According to CUSAT officials, CSL will provide ₹3.53 crore to fund the center's creation on the university's campus.

The new center is designed to "bridge the gap between the shipbuilding industry and academia," a university press release stated. The collaboration will focus on software development, skill development, upskilling, and digitalization within the industry.
