CWC expanding Infra facilities in Kerala

Kochi: Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) will expand capacity in four warehouses in Kerala by adding 20,000 tonnes during the current fiscal year.

Presently, CWC has 10 warehouses in the State with an operating capacity of 1.23 lakh tonnes.

CWC has been authorised to set up an container freight station (CFS) ICD/CFS at Kannur, which is expected to be commissioned this year. It has also signed an MoU with FACT for setting up a CFS on FACT land.

Likewise, a proposal is also under consideration for CWC for providing warehousing requirements for Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation's pharmaceutical products.
