Cygni Energy Launches Phase-I of BESS Gigafactory with 4.8 GWh Capacity.

Cygni Energy, a leading independent energy storage solutions provider headquartered in Hyderabad, announced recently the commencement of operations for Phase-I of its state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Gigafactory. The initial phase of the facility has been established with an investment exceeding ₹100 crore and is strategically located within a five-acre campus in the E-Mobility Valley, situated at the Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC) Maheshwaram, Hyderabad.

The newly operational Phase-I boasts an impressive initial production capacity of 4.8 GWh of high-capacity battery packs. These advanced BESS systems are designed to cater to a wide range of applications, including large grid-scale stationary storage projects and the requirements of Independent Power Producers (IPPs), the company stated.

Venkat Rajaraman, Founder and CEO of Cygni Energy, expressed his enthusiasm about this significant milestone. "This Gigafactory positions us to lead in the energy storage sector, delivering high-quality, safe battery packs across multiple applications," he said. Highlighting the company's future growth trajectory, Rajaraman added, "We plan to grow exponentially in energy storage over the next few years in India and internationally." This launch marks a significant step for Cygni Energy in strengthening India's domestic manufacturing capabilities in the crucial energy storage sector and contributing to the growth of electric mobility and renewable energy integration.
