Cyient Establishes Dedicated Arm for Semiconductor Business.

Cyient Ltd, an engineering solutions company, has announced the establishment of a fully-owned subsidiary to expand its semiconductor business.

“This move will help us enhance our capabilities in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) turnkey design and manufacturing,” said Krishna Bodanapu, Executive Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of Cyient Ltd.

With the global semiconductor market projected to reach a trillion dollars by 2030 and the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) predicting the industry’s growth to $100 billion by the same year, the company aims to leverage these opportunities, he explained.

“Cyient’s expertise in the semiconductor electronics sector, through Cyient DET and Cyient DLM, has enabled us to create this subsidiary. It will focus on turnkey ASIC design and chip sales via a fabless model for analog mixed-signal chips,” Bodanapu stated on Friday.

Cyient’s extensive portfolio of over 600 IPs, covering a wide range of functions and technology nodes, along with long-standing customer relationships and global capabilities, provides the company with a strategic advantage for significant growth in the semiconductor sector.
