Dalmia Bharat Sets Sights on 130 MTPA Cement Capacity, Eyeing Both Organic Growth and Acquisitions.
Dalmia Bharat Ltd is setting its sights on a significant expansion, aiming to ramp up its cement production capacity from 49.5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) in the current fiscal year (FY25) to a formidable 75 mtpa by FY28. The company's long-term vision extends even further, with a target of reaching 110-130 mtpa by FY31.
The cement major is already well into its Phase-II expansion plans, which will involve a blend of organic and inorganic growth strategies. While the focus will be on "planned and systematic organic growth," Dalmia Bharat remains open to acquisitions to achieve its ambitious targets.
In the company's Annual Report for FY25, Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director, stated that this Phase-II expansion strategy will solidify Dalmia Bharat's standing as a pan-India pure-play cement producer. He emphasized that this strategic move places the company "favourably on track to achieve our long term target of 110-130 mtpa." The expansion underscores Dalmia Bharat's commitment to meeting the growing demand for cement across the country and strengthening its market presence.
