Dalmia Bharat Targets Major Expansion to 110–130 MTPA, Plans ₹4,000 Crore Raise.

Dalmia Bharat is planning to raise up to ₹4,000 crore through various financial instruments to support its expansion strategy, as it aims to significantly scale up its cement manufacturing capacity by FY31.

The company is targeting an increase in capacity to 110–130 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) over the next decade through a combination of acquisitions, greenfield projects, and brownfield expansions.

In the near term, Dalmia Bharat, currently the fourth-largest cement manufacturer in India with a strong presence in eastern, northeastern, and southern regions, plans to expand its capacity from about 49.5 MTPA to 75 MTPA, according to its latest annual report.

The company said it remains optimistic about the long-term growth prospects of the cement industry, expecting demand to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6–7 per cent over the coming years. This growth is projected to be driven by sustained government infrastructure spending, private-sector investments, and rising housing demand supported by ongoing urbanisation trends.
