DAZN to invest ₹500 cr on sports tech GCC.

DAZN, the United Kingdom-based live sports streaming giant, has officially launched its new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. This strategic hub is set to become the foundation for the company's worldwide sports technology operations, with an ambitious goal of employing 3,000 people by the end of 2026.

According to a statement from the Telangana government, DAZN plans to invest a significant ₹500 crore over the next three years into this facility.

Telangana Minister for Information Technology and Industries, Duddila Sridhar Babu, highlighted the center's critical role. "The centre will drive the development of next-generation sports technologies by scaling engineering and product innovation," he stated. Minister Babu also noted that DAZN will collaborate with academic institutions to boost skilling and research within the sports tech domain, further cementing Hyderabad's position as a burgeoning tech hub.
