DCM Shriram Approves Major ₹217 Cr Renewable Energy Initiative.

DCM Shriram Limited has approved a ₹217 crore investment to expand renewable energy capacity at its Bharuch plant, the company announced recently.

The Board has sanctioned up to ₹87 crore in equity for one or more Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) to acquire a minimum 26% stake, along with ₹130 crore for capital expenditure on related infrastructure.

This investment will add approximately 48 MW of renewable energy—around 30 MW available round-the-clock at a 75% capacity utilization factor—raising the Bharuch plant’s total renewable energy capacity from 50.4 MW peak to 98.4 MW.

The project is expected to be completed by June 2027, strengthening the company’s sustainable power resources for ongoing operations.

The Board’s approval underscores DCM Shriram’s commitment to renewable energy and operational sustainability.
