Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the final 27-kilometer stretch of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor on September 17, marking a significant milestone for India's first semi-high-speed rail network.

With this inauguration, the entire 82-kilometer corridor connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut will become fully operational. The 55-kilometer section from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South, with 11 stations, is already in service. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) had successfully completed trial runs across the entire corridor in June 2025, ensuring its readiness for public use.
