Delhi Metro’s Maujpur–Majlis Park Corridor Honoured with Prestigious ICI Award 2025.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been honoured with the prestigious ICI Award 2025 by the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Chennai, under the category "Outstanding Prestressed Concrete Structure in the Country." This recognition is for the Maujpur–Majlis Park corridor, a crucial segment of Delhi Metro's Phase-IV expansion and an extension of the existing Pink Line.

This corridor will become India’s first circular ring metro line upon completion, significantly enhancing connectivity and urban mobility across the capital city. The award will be formally presented to DMRC during the quinquennial ACECON conference scheduled for December 2025 in Hyderabad.

The Maujpur–Majlis Park corridor is celebrated not only for its engineering excellence but also for its innovative use of prestressed concrete, which ensures durability, strength, and sustainability. This development continues to reinforce Delhi Metro's reputation as one of India’s most advanced and reliable urban transit systems.

In addition to this, DMRC has launched "DMRC Pay powered by BHIM," a seamless UPI payment feature integrated within the Delhi Metro Sarthi app in collaboration with NPCI BHIM Services Limited. This feature allows commuters to purchase tickets quickly and securely with a single click, eliminating the need for external payment gateways. Commuters can also register UPI IDs and link bank accounts or RuPay cards within the app, making DMRC the first public sector entity to implement such advanced UPI solutions.

Furthermore, the Delhi Metro Sarthi app now offers ticket booking for the "Jai Hind Sound and Light Show" at the Red Fort, featuring two daily shows with 50 seats each, without any additional convenience fees. The show narrates India’s history from the 17th century to the present day.
