DIAL inks airport development deals

New Delhi: Delhi International Airport (DIAL) has signed agreements with Eastern International Hotels (EIH) and Turkey-based Celebi Hava Servisi As.

The agreement with EIH involves 25-year concession for financing, designing, developing, constructing, operating, managing and maintaining in-flight catering facilities and services at the airport.

The new in-flight catering facility to be built by EIH will be designed by the Singapore-based Flight Catering facility planner ‘I+O Industry Planning and Organisation’. Initially the facility will provide 30,000 meals daily but will be increased to 40,000 meals by 2015 for meeting the future demands.

The second deal with Celebi Hava Servisi As is a 25 years agreement for upgrading, modernising, operating, maintaining and managing the existing cargo terminal.
