"Dozee Aims to Expand Local Presence to Over 2,000 Hospitals by 2028"
Dozee, a health-tech startup specializing in AI-based contactless remote patient monitoring (RPM) and early warning systems (EWS), is set to expand its local presence to over 2,000 hospitals and 100,000 beds by 2028. Currently, Dozee has partnerships with nearly 280 hospitals, covering over 17,000 beds across India. The company also plans to extend its international footprint, aiming for an additional 100,000 beds in the U.S. market by the same year.
"Major hospitals in India are growing at approximately 10 to 15 percent year-on-year, making the Indian market critical for our future growth," said Mudit Dandwate, Co-founder and CEO of Dozee. In the U.S., the company will focus on both the hospital market and the transition care sector.
Dozee is also launching its new product, Shravan, a clinical-grade AI-powered RPM service designed to monitor vital signs such as heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and sleep patterns. Utilizing AI-powered Ballistocardiography, Shravan employs advanced algorithms to analyze biomarkers and deliver timely alerts for any deviations, helping to reduce the risk of health emergencies and facilitating prompt medical intervention.
"We are planning to raise funds in the next 6 to 9 months to support our expansion and other initiatives, including those related to Shravan," Mudit added. He also addressed recent rumors about potential layoffs, stating, "We are hiring actively and significantly increasing our investments in health AI and global expansion."
Over the past six months, Dozee has maintained a workforce of around 250 to 280 employees, adding 30 new hires during this period. The company plans to recruit another 30 to 40 employees by December 2024.
Dozee manufactures 70 percent of its products in Bommasandra, Bengaluru, while sourcing microprocessors from Taiwan, Singapore, and the U.S. Launched in 2015, the startup is on a path to profitability, with a goal to achieve this by the end of March 2025.
