DST and T-Hub Launch AI-ML Hub in Hyderabad

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), operating under the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, has teamed up with T-Hub, a prominent start-up ecosystem enabler, to establish a Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Technology Hub (MATH) in Hyderabad.

This innovative hub is envisioned to serve as a catalyst for AI innovation, job creation, and the cultivation of a supportive ecosystem for AI and ML start-ups.

According to a spokesperson from T-Hub, the Centre of Excellence aims to generate over 500 AI-related jobs by 2025 and support the growth of more than 150 start-ups annually.

The facility boasts a mini data center equipped with GPU capabilities, a customized learning management system (LMS) tailored for AI education, and robust data infrastructure to accommodate a wide range of AI applications.

Rahul Paith, CEO of MATH, emphasized the hub's comprehensive offerings, stating, "From providing access to state-of-the-art compute infrastructure to offering AI skilling programs, data lakes, and virtual connectivity to global AI ecosystems, MATH will become a destination for all things AI and ML."

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of dignitaries including Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu Duddilla, IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, former Nasscom Chairman BVR Mohan Reddy, and T-Hub CEO Mahankali Srinivas Rao, underscoring the importance of this collaborative initiative in driving technological innovation and economic growth in the region.
