Durga Flyover Works May Begin Soon.

The works pertaining to Kanakadurga Varadi Flyover will commence soon as the office of R&B Chief Engineer has sought the inventory details regarding the project from SE, R&B NH circle Vijayawada and NHAI Vijayawada office.

Disclosing this in a press release, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) said following the Centre issuing gazette notification pertaining to the flyover project on February 17, the state government had expedited the process of commening the project and the works pertaining to it are likely to start at the earliest.

The flyover will be 4.8 km long and will connect Bhavanipuram Lorry Stand and Rajiv Gandhi Park near the VMC Office. The MP said it will be a vital link between NH 9 and NH 5 and will greatly ease the traffic problem at Kanakadurga temple hillock, which has become a bottleneck.
