DVC's Bokaro plant to be commissioned in the 12 FY

DVC's Bokaro plant to be commissioned in the 12 FY New Delhi: Damodar Valley Corporation's 500 MW thermal power station in Bokaro is likely to be commissioned in financial year 2012-13.

The estimated cost for setting up the plant in Bokaro, Jharkhand, is about Rs 3,550 crore.

Damodar Valley Corp is also setting up another 500 MW plant at Chandrapura in Bokaro.

The estimated cost for setting up of the Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (CTPS) Extension Units 7 & 8 is Rs 2,611.34 crore. 500 MW of power will be generated from this project.

The commercial operation at CTPS is likely to commence within the 11th Plan period (2007-12). The two units were commissioned in November 2009 and March 2010.
