Emami Agrotech Diversifies into Staples, Projects ₹2,000 Crore from Food Segment in 3-5 Years0=.

Emami Agrotech is making a major push into the branded food sector, entering the staples market with an ambitious goal of generating ₹2,000 crore in revenue from this business within the next three to five years.

The move marks a significant diversification for the Emami Group company, which is a key player in the edible oil market with an annual turnover of roughly ₹20,000 crore.

Strategic Expansion and Future Plans

To achieve its target, Emami Agrotech plans to rapidly expand its food portfolio. Over the next six months, the company will introduce a range of new products, including ready-to-eat items, snacks, and sausages. It is collaborating with consulting firms McKinsey and Thinking Forks to guide this strategy.

The company is also looking at the long term. Once its food business solidifies, Emami Agrotech plans to explore an initial public offering (IPO) within the next two to three years.
