Infrastructure conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced recently that it has secured a "significant order" from JSW Energy, valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. The contract is for the execution of a crucial pump storage project in Maharashtra.
The order was awarded to L&T's heavy civil infrastructure vertical, a key segment of the company renowned for its expertise in complex engineering and construction projects, as stated in a regulatory filing by the infrastructure major.
Specifically, the contract entails the "execution of Bhavali Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in the state of Maharashtra," the filing detailed. This project is expected to play a vital role in enhancing the state's energy infrastructure and grid stability, leveraging pumped storage technology for efficient power management.
This new order underscores L&T's continued dominance in large-scale infrastructure development and its strategic contribution to India's growing energy sector.
