ERRA approves 81 uplift schemes

Muzaffarabad:
In its review meeting on Sunday presided over by AJK Chief Secretary Javed Majeed, the meeting was informed that ERRA had made arrangements for land acquisition for the reconstruction projects of the city, adding that Rs 1,820 million had been allocated for 1,900 kanals of land for the city.

The meeting was informed that the first phase of the 81 projects include construction of roads, bridges, shopping complexes, residential flats, commercial centres, bus and truck terminals, community centres, mutton and fish markets, fruit and vegetable markets, a slaughter house, public parks, women’s hostels, playing grounds, recreation centres, pure water supply schemes, modern electric and telephone system and a better sewerage and drainage system. Speaking on the occasion, AJK Chief Secretary Javed Majeed directed all departmental heads to remain in touch and fully cooperate with each other in re-launching the reconstruction projects and to ensure the completion of projects within the set time frame.

He also directed to present the developmental projects of the third phase in the next meeting.
