Fabindia to expand network, forays in western wear with Fabel.
Ethnic lifestyle retailer Fabindia plans to expand its 175-store network by adding 50 new stores in the domestic market this fiscal.
The company, which is also looking to expand its presence in the international market, recently forayed into contemporary western wear segment under the brand name 'Fabel'.
'We would add 50 new stores this financial year in the domestic market. The new stores would be a mix of company-owned and franchise model,' Fabindia CEO Surat Datta told PTI.
'Fabindia is growing at 28 per cent,' he added. The company is operating 175 stores in 73 cities and is now looking to expand its base in the non-metro tier-II markets for expansion.
The company expects Fable to contribute 10 per of its sales in the coming years.
