FedEx Expands India Presence: ₹2,500 Cr Navi Mumbai Hub Announced.
Global logistics giant FedEx announced plans to invest ₹2,500 crore in developing a state-of-the-art air cargo hub at Navi Mumbai Airport, aimed at bolstering India’s trade and transshipment capabilities.
The facility will span over 3 lakh square feet and feature a fully automated operation with dedicated freighter parking bays. The hub is expected to be operational within two years and is projected to generate both direct and indirect employment for around 6,000 people.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday, attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with senior leadership from FedEx and Adani Airports.
The investment marks a significant expansion of FedEx’s presence in India, aligning with the country’s growing role in global logistics and trade.
