Festo Opens New Centre in Bengaluru, Plans to Hire 600 Employees.

Germany-headquartered automation and technical education company Festo has inaugurated a 71,000-square-foot Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, with plans to eventually accommodate 600 employees.

Located near Electronics City, the facility currently employs over 250 people and has 50 open positions. Over the past year, the company added more than 100 employees to its Indian operations. The new centre will provide engineering, software development, and data analytics support for Festo’s global operations, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the company’s incorporation in India.

Ravi Sastry, Managing Director of Festo India, said, “This GCC is not just another building; this is a strategic footprint for the future.” He added that Bengaluru was chosen for its strong engineering talent pool. The centre will leverage automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to bolster the company’s global research and development initiatives.
