Finolex Cables Plans ₹1,000 Crore Revenue From Tamil Nadu Operations.

Finolex Cables is targeting revenue of ₹1,000 crore from Tamil Nadu in the coming fiscal year, driven by the State’s expanding industrial ecosystem and rising investments in data centres and other infrastructure.

With a turnover of around ₹750 crore from the State, Tamil Nadu is the company’s largest market in southern India. Growth in the region is currently in the “higher double digits,” Amit Mathur, President – Sales & Marketing at Finolex Cables, told businessline.

The company said increasing industrialisation and infrastructure development in the State have been key drivers for demand for power cables. According to Mathur, the flexible cables segment has been witnessing strong momentum, with compound annual growth rates estimated at over 30–40 per cent.

Demand for communication cables and optical fibre cables has also been rising, supported by a surge in data centre projects and related digital infrastructure investments in the State.
