Four Semiconductor Projects Worth ₹4,600 Crore Get Cabinet Nod.

The Union Cabinet on recently approved four new semiconductor projects with a combined investment of approximately ₹4,600 crore. These projects fall under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), a government initiative to boost the country's electronic manufacturing ecosystem.

The government anticipates that the new projects will create a cumulative 2,034 skilled jobs directly, with a ripple effect of creating many more indirect jobs. The move is expected to be a catalyst for the country's semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries.

The four companies whose proposals were approved are SiCSem, Continental Device India Private Limited (CDIL), 3D Glass Solutions Inc, and Advanced System in Package (ASIP) Technologies.
