State-run GAIL (India) Ltd has announced the completion of more than 97.6% of the Jagdishpur–Haldia–Bokaro–Dhamra Pipeline (JHBDPL), widely known as the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga project.

The integrated pipeline, including the Barauni–Guwahati extension, spans 3,306 km and is designed to supply natural gas to the eastern and northeastern regions of India. According to GAIL, around 96.6% of the completed network has already been brought under commercial operations.

The pipeline passes through six states—Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Assam—enhancing access to cleaner energy in traditionally underserved regions.
