General Manager, Northern Railway inaugurates Ranney Well & Water supply project.
General Manager, Northern Railway, Sh. Vijay Kumar Gupta inaugurated the Ranney Well & Water Supply Project at Shastri Parkarea of Delhi. This Project costs Rs. 14.65 crore will ensure adequate water supply to stations of Delhi area during ensuing summer season. A 27.45 meter deep with 7.5 meter diameter well (Ranney Well) has been dug which has maximum capacity of supplying 114 lac litre water per day with 132 litre/sec. yield. Thirty numbers of radial slotted pipes are attached in water collection assembly for collecting the water. Three vertical turbine pumps each having motors of 150 HP have been installed. An electric sub station has been constructed with capacity of 2x250 KVA 11/0.4 KV and a standby DG set of 250 KVA.
