Goa CM Allocates ₹539 Crore for Infrastructure Development Funds

The state government is poised to accelerate development and capital spending following the release of additional tax devolution by the Union government on Monday. With an allocation of over ₹530 crore, this move comes as an additional instalment alongside the regular release for June 2024.

Expressing gratitude, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant extended thanks to the Union Government, particularly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the timely release of the tax devolution instalment. "I thank the Union Govt under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for releasing the instalment of Tax devolution of Rs 539 crore for Goa," Chief Minister Sawant stated. He further emphasized that this injection of funds will significantly bolster the government of Goa's capacity to undertake infrastructure development projects and implement various social welfare initiatives for the benefit of its citizens.
