Godrej Properties Strengthens South India Presence with 47-Acre Chennai Acquisition.

Realty major Godrej Properties has acquired a 47-acre land parcel in South Chennai to develop a plotted residential project, with the company estimating a revenue potential of around ₹500 crore from the upcoming development.

In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, the company said the land has been acquired through an outright purchase. The proposed project will primarily comprise residential plots, expanding Godrej Properties’ presence in the Chennai real estate market.

The acquisition is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its residential portfolio and tap into demand for plotted developments in key urban markets.
