Government help sought to establish Marble City

Karachi: All Pakistan Marble Mining, Processing, Industry and Exporters Association (APMMPIEA) has appealed government to play its role in establishing Marble City. In a statement issued, Sanaullah Khan, former chairman said that government should take all stakeholders on board for escalating marble exports.

Karachi based marble industry is exporting almost 90 percent of the total sector. Khan requested newly elected President Asif Ali Zardari to take stern actions against Mineral Department (Sindh, Karachi) that have delayed the marble mining leasing process, due to which genuine marble industrialists and exporters are suffering for years.
