Govt Expands Mania Auto Project Area.

The State Government has decided to expand the auto component complex at Mania in Cuttack district beyond the identified area and directed the Cuttack Collector to expedite land acquisition process.

IDCO, which is the nodal agency for implementation of the project, has filed acquisition proposal for 17.065 acres of private land for construction of a permanent approach road to the auto complex at Mania. The proposed auto complex spreads over an area of 711.62 acres in seven villages in Tangi-Choudwar tehsil of Cuttack district. While 278.1 acres are Government land, the rest is private land.

Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati, who reviewed the progress of the project at a high level meeting recently, directed the authorities concerned to complete land acquisition for the approach road by December.

Out of 433 acres private land required for the project, only 42.5 acres have been acquired and handed over to IDCO. Besides, the anchor tenant SRB Transmission (I) Limited has directly purchased 66.6 acres of land.

In a letter to Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department Taradatt, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of IDCO Vishal Dev has requested the State Government to consider the proposal of IDCO for acquisition of 17.065 acres of private land in Ghasisanthapur and Gopasanthapur villages under Tangi-Choudwar tehsil of Cuttack district.

He has requested the State Government to direct the Collector to start the land acquisition process.
