Grainspan Fuels Green Energy with ₹520 Cr Ethanol Plant Investment.

Driven by the Union Food Ministry's interest subsidy scheme, Grainspan Nutrients has made a significant investment of ₹520 crore to establish two state-of-the-art grain-based ethanol plants in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. These facilities are now actively supplying green fuel for blending with petrol, contributing to India's ambitious ethanol blending program.

The two plants, strategically located in Ahmedabad, utilize a mix of maize and rice as feedstock and boast a combined installed capacity of 350 kilolitres per day (KLPD). This substantial production capability positions Grainspan Nutrients as a key player in the nation's burgeoning bio-fuel sector.

Grainspan's first grain-based ethanol plant, situated in Bhamsara Village within the Ahmedabad district, commenced operations in May 2023. With an initial capacity of 110 KLPD, this facility notably marked a milestone as Gujarat's pioneering grain-based ethanol production unit. The successful operation and expansion underscore the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and its response to governmental incentives aimed at reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
