Granules India Launches Two Centres of Excellence at IIT Hyderabad.

Granules India recently inaugurated two advanced Centres of Excellence (CoEs) at the Technology Research Park of IIT Hyderabad, marking a significant expansion of its research and development footprint.

Among them is the Ascelis Center of Excellence for Peptide Development and Characterisation set up under Ascelis Peptides, the company’s CDMO arm. The facility will focus on the development of cosmetic, therapeutic and pharmaceutical peptides. Ascelis’ first such development and characterisation centre in India, it is equipped to handle primary, secondary and tertiary structure analysis.

With the new CoE, Granules brings sophisticated analytical and process development capabilities in-house. The centre will also collaborate closely with Senn Chemicals, the company’s Switzerland-based R&D hub, enhancing its integrated global peptide portfolio and reducing dependence on external partners.
