Greenko to implement six run-of-river hydro projects in Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh

Greenko plans six run-of-river hydro projects in Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. The construction of the projects is expected to commence in the latter part of 2013.

These six projects will have a combined installed capacity of 425 Mw and will now be a part of the company's active development pipeline.

Chamba district of Himchal Pradesh will host two additional projects, totaling 115 Mw capacity and will be part of an existing cluster of hydroelectric projects.

The remaining projects with a total capacity of 315 Mw are planned on the perennial Yargyap Chu River in the West Siang District in Arunachal Pradesh, as part of a new regional cluster for the state.
