Gujarat CM Patel Approves ₹2,995 Crore for Widening 61 Roads.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has launched an ‘Ease of Transportation’ initiative aimed at tackling increasing traffic congestion in the state, driven by rapid development. The initiative focuses on widening high-traffic roads to improve travel safety, speed, and efficiency.
The Chief Minister has allocated a total of ₹2,995.32 crore for the widening of 61 roads across Gujarat, covering a combined length of 813.75 kilometers. The project includes ₹1,646.44 crore for the four-laning of 203.41 km across 21 roads, ₹580.16 crore for the 10-meter widening of 221.45 km of 15 roads, and ₹768.72 crore for the 7-meter widening of 388.89 km across 25 roads. The initiative is expected to greatly enhance road safety and transportation efficiency, contributing to the state's continued growth.
In addition to this, Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation for 184 development projects worth ₹246.31 crore in the Dhandhuka Assembly constituency on Sunday. The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, which he said has set an example for transformative development, particularly highlighting the ongoing ₹1,000 crore worth of projects in the Bhal region.
Patel described the new development projects for Dhandhuka as a New Year's gift to the region, reinforcing the government's commitment to progress. Under PM Modi’s leadership, he said, Gujarat has become a model for development nationwide.
