Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini recently announced that the state government has approved the final alignment of the Gurugram–Faridabad–Noida–Greater Noida Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS)-cum-Metro Corridor. The decision was taken in a government meeting on Tuesday, and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is currently being finalised. Directions have been issued to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), the central agency responsible for executing the project.
The approximately 64 km corridor, with nearly 52 km falling within Haryana, is part of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi–led “Namo Bharat” initiative, aimed at connecting major economic hubs across India through fast, modern, and safe transit systems. Saini highlighted that the project will integrate Gurugram, Faridabad, and Noida into a high-speed regional mobility network, significantly reducing travel time, traffic congestion, and contributing to environmental sustainability.
In Gurugram, a 14.5 km integrated RRTS–Metro section between IFFCO Chowk and Gwal Pahari has been approved. Key stations will include Sector-29, Millennium City Centre, Sector-52, Wazirabad, Sector-57, and Sector-58/61, connecting with the Delhi Metro Yellow Line, Gurugram Metro, and Rapid Metro networks.
The Faridabad stretch, approximately 16 km from Sainik Colony to Badshahpur, will cover the NIT region, Bata Chowk, Sectors 12–15, and New Faridabad, linking with the Delhi Metro Violet Line. Noise barriers will be installed along urban viaduct sections to minimize sound pollution.
Saini emphasized that the project will boost investment, create employment opportunities, and support balanced urban development in Haryana. The DPR will be finalised promptly to ensure timely implementation and provide world-class public transport to citizens.
Land Ownership Announcement in Yamunanagar
Separately, the Chief Minister announced that land under Khasra numbers 125, 152, and 134 in Chhachhrauli, Yamunanagar—government-owned since 1887 but recorded as ‘Gair Mumkin Abadi’—will be granted to long-settled residents. After verification of possession through official records and surveys, ownership rights will be conferred to eligible families, addressing decades-long demands.
