Indra Wins €32.7 Million Contract to Support Spain’s High-Speed Rail Network

Indra has secured a €32.7 million contract from Spanish railway infrastructure manager Adif to maintain and support the technology controlling Spain’s high-speed rail network. The four-year agreement covers systems used at Traffic Regulation Centers to manage train movements remotely and in real time.

Work includes preventive and scheduled maintenance, equipment renewal, corrective repairs, and incident response. Services will cover centers in Madrid’s Atocha, Delicias, and Villaverde locations, alongside facilities in Antequera, Albacete, and Zaragoza.

The contract includes Centralized Traffic Control equipment and the Da Vinci platform, developed jointly by Indra and Adif. These technologies give operators an integrated network overview, support faster operational decisions, and automate processes. They also help improve capacity utilization, reduce operating costs, and strengthen railway safety and service reliability.

José Benito García Cuéllar, Indra’s director of Rail & Transit Spain, said the award demonstrates the company’s expertise in managing critical transport systems and supporting increasingly complex railway networks.

The agreement strengthens Indra’s railway technology business, complementing projects in Lithuania, Estonia, and Saudi Arabia. Its work includes a contract covering at least five years of maintenance and operations for systems on the Mecca–Medina high-speed railway, supported by rigorous international quality requirements and European railway safety certification standards.
