Havells Expands into Battery Energy Storage, Inks Pact with Pixii AS.

Havells India Ltd has entered the battery energy storage segment through a strategic partnership with Norway-based energy storage technology company Pixii AS to develop and introduce advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for the Indian market.

Under the collaboration, the two companies will follow a phased roadmap to build a long-term BESS ecosystem in India. The partnership will initially focus on pilot installations to validate commercial opportunities before moving to the co-development of an integrated, all-in-one energy storage solution.

The companies also plan to localise manufacturing in India and jointly develop products tailored to the needs of Indian customers.

Havells said the collaboration will strengthen its presence in India's evolving energy transition market by bringing advanced, modular battery energy storage technology to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
