HBL Engineering Secures ₹179.79 Crore Kavach Contract from Banaras Locomotive Works.

HBL Engineering Limited recently said it has received a Letter of Acceptance from Banaras Locomotive Works for a contract valued at ₹179.79 crore.

The order involves the supply, testing, and commissioning of onboard KAVACH equipment (Version 4.0), a railway safety system, for the locomotive manufacturer. The project is expected to be completed on or before February 15, 2027, the company added.

This contract forms part of HBL Engineering’s domestic operations, focusing on deploying KAVACH systems on locomotives. Earlier in February, the company had secured another order from BLW worth ₹800.36 crore for KAVACH Version 4.0, further strengthening its role in enhancing rail safety in India.
