HCL Foundation, TN Government Join Forces for Vocational Training & Startups.

HCLFoundation has cemented its commitment to fostering skill development and innovation in Tamil Nadu by signing two pivotal Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with key state government departments: StartupTN and the Department of Employment and Training (DET). These agreements aim to significantly enhance entrepreneurship and vocational education across the state.

Empowering Tamil Nadu's Startup Ecosystem

In a strategic move to ignite entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, HCLFoundation and StartupTN, a flagship initiative of the Tamil Nadu government, inked a three-year MoU. The agreement was formally signed by Nidhi Pundhir, SVP of Global CSR at HCLTech and Director of HCLFoundation, and Mr. Sivarajah Ramanathan, CEO of TANSIM.

Under this partnership, HCLFoundation will provide crucial support to 100 startups, focusing on promoting inclusive innovation and strengthening Tamil Nadu's vibrant startup ecosystem. The collaboration is poised to drive sustainable development and contribute to the state's economic growth by nurturing new ventures and fostering a culture of innovation.

Renewed Focus on Vocational Education

Further reinforcing its dedication to skill development, HCLFoundation also renewed its existing collaboration with the Department of Employment and Training (DET), Government of Tamil Nadu. The updated agreement was formalized by B. Vishnu Chandran, Director of Employment and Training, and Nidhi Pundhir.

This renewed MoU signifies HCLFoundation's ongoing commitment to enhancing vocational education, ensuring that Tamil Nadu's workforce is equipped with the necessary skills to meet the demands of a dynamic job market.
