Hero Future Energies Wins 120 MW Round-the-Clock Renewable Capacity in SECI Bid.

Hero Future Energies has secured a 120 MW project under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 1,000 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy–Round-the-Clock (FDRE-RTC) auction.

The project was awarded at a tariff of ₹5.25 per kWh, according to a company statement.

The renewable energy project will be developed under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI. Hero Future Energies is expected to commission the project within 24 months of signing the PPA.

The FDRE-RTC tender is aimed at ensuring a reliable and dispatchable supply of renewable power by combining renewable energy generation with appropriate balancing and storage capabilities.

The award adds to Hero Future Energies’ renewable energy portfolio as the company expands its presence in India’s clean energy sector.
