Hindustan Copper Gets Green Signal for Mining Operations at Chandmari Mines.
Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) has received forest clearance for its Chandmari copper mine in Rajasthan, providing a key regulatory approval for mining operations at the site.
The Forest Department of the Government of Rajasthan, through a letter dated June 19, 2026, and received by the company on June 23, 2026, granted forest clearance for the Chandmari copper mine located in Jhunjhunu district.
According to the company, the clearance is co-terminus with the lease period of the Chandmari mining block, allowing mining activities to continue for the duration of the mine lease, subject to applicable regulatory conditions.
The approval marks an important milestone for Hindustan Copper as it advances the development and operational plans for the Chandmari copper mine, strengthening its resource base in Rajasthan.
