Hisense Inaugurates New Manufacturing Plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
Hisense, a global player in consumer electronics and home appliances, has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in India through a joint venture with Epack Manufacturing Technologies Private Ltd (EMTPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Epack Durable Ltd (EDL), at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
Developed with an investment of over $30 million, the state-of-the-art facility will begin commercial production this month. Once fully operational, it will exclusively manufacture Room Air Conditioners (RACs) for Hisense India.
Pilot production is already underway, with the plant being developed in phases. Phase 1 focuses on Room Air Conditioners and will produce Hisense’s flagship and global AC portfolio, including the F-Series, Eco Series, Intelli Perla Series, and the upcoming Intelli Pro Series. The initial installed capacity for Phase 1 is 0.75 million RAC units annually.
