Hitachi Energy to Invest ₹2,000 Crore, Create 3,000 Jobs in Chennai Over Next 5 Years.

Hitachi Energy is set to invest approximately ₹2,000 crore and generate 3,000 new high-tech jobs in Chennai over the next five years, according to a government release issued on Wednesday.

Senior executives from the company met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to finalise plans for the next phase of their expansion in the city.

Highlighting the significance of the move, State Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa noted on social media that Hitachi’s Global Technology and Innovation Center in Chennai, already the company’s largest global hub, employs around 3,000 engineers and supports over 1,000 projects across 46 countries. He added that the company is expanding within just two years of its initial setup.
