A wave of new investment proposals, primarily in the electronics and engineering sectors, is expected to be announced today at the second edition of the TN Rising Investors Summit in Hosur. The event will be attended by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa.
Companies from various sectors, including electronics, EV supply chain, and engineering goods, are scheduled to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the state government.
Among the key proposals is a significant investment from electronics manufacturing giant Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses. The company is set to sign an MoU for a new solar cell manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. Sources with knowledge of the matter indicate the project represents an investment of ₹5,000 crore and could create 3,000 jobs. This initiative is also expected to bolster the domestic solar value chain and encourage the growth of related industries.
Additionally, HI-Q Electronics, a Bengaluru-based PCB manufacturer with an existing presence in Hosur, plans to invest around ₹420 crore in the state. This investment will fund a new PCB manufacturing facility in Hosur, with the potential to generate 400 jobs and further strengthen Tamil Nadu's burgeoning electronic component ecosystem.
