Hotel Leela Strengthens Portfolio, Acquires Coorg Resort for ₹560 Crore

Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts has acquired a luxury resort in Coorg for ₹560 crore, marking its entry into nature-led and wellness-focused hospitality.

The Coorg property features 71 villas spread across 76 acres, with an additional 54 acres available for future expansion. In the first phase of development, 19 new villas will be added, bringing the total inventory to 90

villas.According to a company notification to the stock exchanges, the resort is expected to generate stabilized revenue of ₹165–₹175 crore, with a margin profile comparable to the group’s existing properties. This move underscores Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts’s strategy to expand into high-growth wellness and nature-centric tourism markets.
