HP Govt to open climate research centre

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Government has planned to set up a centre for climate change, snow and glacier studies and disaster management.

The climate change centre will enhance the state in facing natural disasters and planning strategies for tackling the unpredictable weather patterns.

The state government will also establish a State Resource Information Centre (SRIC) to serve as a repository for data on environment, natural resources and climate change.
