Hyatt Announces Ambitious Expansion Plan: 50 New Hotels in the Next Five Years
Hyatt India is set to embark on a significant expansion journey, with plans to augment its hotel portfolio by adding 10 new hotels each year for the next five years, as revealed by Sujae Sharma, Managing Director for India and Southwest Asia at Hyatt. The renowned hospitality brand, currently operating 47 hotels in India, has experienced remarkable growth, boasting a substantial 37% increase in overall expansion and a noteworthy 62% surge in revenues. Sharma is optimistic that this growth momentum will persist in the coming fiscal years.
Highlighting recent developments, Sharma stated, "We’ve recently opened two more hotels, bringing our current count to 45 in India. The newly added properties include the Hyatt Place Bodh Gaya Hotel and the Hyatt Place in Goa Candolim. Additionally, we have plans to launch a new brand, JDV, in Goa and open hotels in Haridwar and Calcutta. By the end of 2023, we aim to reach a total of 50 hotels."
Hyatt's expansion plan reflects its commitment to meeting the evolving demands of travelers in India and further solidifying its presence in the country's thriving hospitality industry.
