Hyundai to Open New Plant in Pune, Invites PM for Inauguration.

Hyundai Motor Group's Executive Chair, Euisun Chung, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to personally invite him to the inauguration of Hyundai's new plant in Pune, Maharashtra. Hyundai India expressed gratitude on social media, stating, "This will be a game-changing investment for HMIL. We are thankful to the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra for their support." The company reiterated its commitment to being a key player in the "Make in India" initiative, aligning with India’s long-term vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047."

During the meeting, Chung and PM Modi discussed the future of mobility, with Chung emphasizing the importance of India's diverse market and reformist approach. Hyundai attaches great significance to its partnership with India, viewing it as a priority market.

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also praised Hyundai’s upcoming Pune facility, describing it as a milestone in both the state’s industrial journey and India's mobility revolution. "Together, we accelerate towards a 'Make in India' at the forefront of our progress toward 'Viksit Bharat 2047.' Welcome to Maharashtra, dear @HyundaiIndia," Fadnavis wrote on social media, thanking PM Modi for his leadership and support.
