Indian Hotels Company to Set Up Vivanta Hotel in Vellore.
Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), the owner of the Taj brand of hotels, recently announced the signing of a Vivanta hotel in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, marking the company’s entry into the city with a greenfield project.
The upcoming Vivanta Vellore will feature 100 rooms and offer amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, a poolside lounge bar and a banquet hall spread over more than 2,500 square feet.
Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said Vellore’s status as a major education and industrial hub, along with improving connectivity and infrastructure, makes it an attractive hospitality market.
“Vellore is an established education and industrial hub with improving connectivity and infrastructure, making it a promising hospitality market. Its inclusion in the Government of India’s Smart Cities Mission reflects the city’s growth potential. We are delighted to partner with Mr Baskaran on this project,” she said.
