Jaipur Development Authority sanctions Rs. 182 crore for various infra projects.

The project working committee of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has sanctioned Rs. 182 crore for various projects, including Rs. 5.96 crore for the upcoming bus terminal on Ajmer Road.

"We will spend Rs. 5.96 crore for construction of an approach road to the proposed site and construction of compound walls. This is the first time we would start work related to any satellite bus terminus planned in and around the city," said a JDA official.

Under the Integrated Traffic Management system, the urban development department has decided to build a few bus terminals within the city limits and on the outskirts. The Department has asked JDA to find out land for these terminals.

"Land for some of these terminals has already been identified. This plot on Ajmer Road is one of them," added the official.

Approvals were also given for renovation of the main road from Chatrapura to VIT, for which Rs. 3.19 crore will be spent. Funds sanctioned for other projects include Rs. 6.77 crore for development work in Anandalok scheme, Rs. 3.50 crore for widening and strengthening of the road from Charanwas to Nainath temple in Zone-13, and Rs. 2.69 crore for renovation of road from Kanota to Nayla in Zone-8.
